Vanodine uses in Rabbitry--
V.18 and FAM inactivate all types of organisms. Bacteria, fungus and viruses!
Snuffles / Bordatella / Pasturella Control
Disinfection is essential in the rabbitry! Seasonal changes, extreme
heat and humidity can cause an increase in rabbit 'colds' and
'snuffles' caused by pasturella, bordatella and other pathogens which live naturally in and around rabbits. Anyone who raises rabbits knows these can be devastating to a rabbitry within a matter of hours. Vanodine is used in prevention and to control spread of many pathogens. During regular cleaning of pans and cages - spray all cages, crocks and equipment easily and quickly.
Rabbit supplement
Calf-Manna is a proven concentrated supplement for several species
of animals that, when added to ordinary daily rations, makes a
big difference in overall performance. Calf-Manna is fed to
everything from growing and performance horses, to cattle,
rabbits, goats, poultry and swine.
First introduced in the 1930s, Calf-Manna still ranks at the top
of its class today. This innovative product was the first pelleted
concentrate. Made from the finest ingredients, it's highly
palatable, highly digestible, and an outstanding protein and energy
supplement. At Manna Pro, we know what quality ingredients and
consistent formulation can do!
Besides being an excellent source of protein and energy,
Calf-Manna's palatability has made it the preferred product
by successful breeders, trainers, and producers for keeping
their animals on feed-a major concern during times of stress.
Some Rabbit Diseases
Coccidiosis This is a protozoal parasitic infection from the
intestinal tract of animals. The species of coccidia found in rabbits
are species specific and should not infect humans. In young
rabbits this causes diarrhoea and sudden death.
Viral hemorrhagic disease of rabbits (VHD) is a peracute viral
disease of rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) causing hepatic,
intestinal, and lymphoid necrosis and massive terminal
intravascular coagulation.
Myxomatosis is a viral infection of rabbits, caused by a
member of the Poxvirus family. It is usually transmitted
by insects and is usually fatal.
Snuffles is one of the most common diseases that strikes domestic
rabbits. Almost every rabbit breeder or long-term rabbit owner
has dealt with or is at least familiar with this devastating
respiratory disease. This disease is very contagious and can
also affect the eyes, ears, and other organs. If detected early,
it can be treated, but it can become chronic or fatal if left
untreated.
Sore hocks or pododermatitis is a pressure-related condition
in which the “soles” (weight-bearing undersides) of rabbits’
feet become raw and inflamed, and in particularly severe
cases, ulcerated.
Rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV), also known as rabbit
calicivirus (RCV), is the type species of the genus Lagovirus
belonging to Caliciviridae family. RHDV is an important
pathogen that causes a highly contagious disease in wild
and domestic rabbits, rabbit haemorrhagic disease (RHD).
The virus infects only rabbits.
